The City Commission of the City of Sau£ord, Florida met
City Hall at San£ord Florida at 12 O'Clock Noon November 17,

Mr. L L LeRoy, representing a committee of citizens appeared before the Commission with
the proposition that in view of the fact that the lease with Harry $ Jamieson for the
operation of the San£ord Golf Course has been cancelled, said committee will agree to put up
$2,000.00 toward the operation of the golf course if the City will agree to put up a like
amount, said committee to then take over the operation of the golf course for the ensuing
year. ~r L L LeRoy also submitted checks totalling $2,100.00 as evidence of good faith on
the part of the committee to carry through their part of the proposition.
Thereupon, after considerable discussion of the proposition, Commissioner Eiller made
the motion which unanimously prevailed, that the proposition of the Citizens Committee,
headed by Mr LeRoy be accepted, the City to appropriate $2,000.00 from the Contingent Fund,
to be paid to the Sanford Country Club at once and the citizens commitee to ass~ne active
chmrge of the golf
