The City Commission of the City of Sanford Florida met in adjourned special session at the
City Hall in Sanford Florida at 3:30 P ~ December ?, 1928.
Present: Commisaoner E F Housholder, Mayor.

City Clerk, F S Lamson
Chief of Police, R G Williams.
Absent: Commissioner , S 0 Chase.
The Commission canvassed the retuzns of the Clerk and Inspectors of the General Ele ctioz~
held on December 4, 1928, and found the canvass to be as shown by the C~k and Inspectors
of the Election, to-wit:
Group N o 1 ( I Year term )
For Vlvien Speer 183 votes.
" D L Thrasher I Vote.
Group No. 2 ( 2 year term )
For R A Newman 185 votes
" A1 Smith I vote
Group No 3 ( 3 year term )
4 For Nelson Gray 187 Votes
" F D Roosevelt 1 Vote.
Total Votes Cast.
Upon motion by 0ommissioner Miller, which was unanimously adopted, Vivien Speer was de-

clared to be/Regularly elected Commissioner of the City of Sanford for a term of one YeaT,
beginning January 8, 1929.
R A Newman was declared to be the regularly electe~ Commissioner of the City of Sanford
for a tsrm of Two years, beginning January 8, 1929.
Nelson Gray was declared to be the regularly elected Commissioner of the City of Sanf~fl
for a term of three years, beginning January 8, 1929
Upon motion duly adopted, the balance of the term of Willie King, now serving a sentence
in the City Jail was ordered suspended on good behavior.
There being no further business , the meeting adjotmned.
