The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Soeclal Session
at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida at 12:oo Noon, December 3, 19~l
for the ouroose of canvesslng the election returns of the General Munlcioal Election
held December 2, 19~l.

Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
Mayor Hill next reoorted that due to the inability of Mr N O Garner to serve
as Insoector at the General Municlbal Election held December 2, 1941, Mr J H Beck was
aooointed and served in his olace.
Thereuoon the Commission oroceeded to canvass the returns of the General
Municioal Election held on December 2, 1941, for the ouroose of electing two
City Commissioners for terms of three years each, commencing with the first Tuesday
after the first ~ionday in January 1952, as made by the Clerk and Insoectors of
said election, said returns being as follows:
FOR CITY CO~4IS$IONER - GROUP NO. 1
For Geo. D.Bishop 9~ votes
For John Nance Garner $ vote
FOR CITY COMMISSIONER - GROUP NO. 2
For H.James Gut 91 Votes
Mutilated ballots thrown out 1
Total votes cast 100
Thereuoon Commissioner Higgins moved th~.t the returns of the Clerk and Inaoect-
ors of the General Munlcioal Election held December 2, 19~l, be acceoted. Seconded by Commissioner Gut and carried.
Thereuoon Ceo D.Bishoo and H.James Gut were certified as the regularly
elected City Commissioners of the City of Sanford, Florida, for three year terms
each, commencing with the first Tuesday after the first Monday in January, 1942.
On motion duly adooted, oayment of $5.00 to each of the Insoectors and
Clerk of the General Municloal Election held on December 2, 1941, was next authorized,
after which the meeting adjourned.
