of Sanford, Florida, at 3:30 o'clock P.M. June

Meeting called to order by the Chalrman who announced that the purpose of the
meeting wes to confer with ar Ml!lism D. Jones Jr., Special Assistant to the A~orney
with respect to the City conveying the new aviation field to the United States
General of Department of Justice of the United St~te--~for use as a Naval Operational
Training Base,. Also to ~rsnsact any other business ~hat may come before the Board.
Mr. Jones then informed the Commission that the United States had instituted
condemnation proceedings for acquiral of 1490 acres of lend for the purpose of establishing
a Neval Ooerational Training Base at Sanford, which includes the City'~ airport consisting
of 875 acres of land, more or less, and lands adjacent thereto, and requested the Commission
to enter into a Stipulation between the United Steres and the City of Sanford, that a
Jury trial be waived as to that portion of land owned by the City, and that same be
conveyed to the United States for and in consideration of the sum of $10.00 , subject to
the condition, however, that should the said land ever cease to be used fer naval
ourooses thet then and in such event the same shall revert to the City of Sanford.
Thereupon, in view of the f~ct tha~ the aforesaid Stipulation agreement is in
accordance wi~h the proposal offered the United States Navy by the City Commission at
s meeting held on January 24, 1942, Commissioner Gut moved that City Attorney Fred
R.~llson be authorized to e~ecute said Stipulation on behalf of the City ~ Sanford , in
accordance with the terms as outlined above, and that same be sores~ on the minutes of
this meetlng.

The lands described herein which are to be conveyed by the City of Sanford
to the United States of America are shown as Parcels #501 and #601 on a map
oreoared for the United States Navy Deoartment by Robert M.Angas, entitled
(UNITED STATES NAVAL AIR STAION, JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA, MAP OF LANDS TO BE
ACQUIRED FOR SANFORD FIELD, SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA) said mao bein~ dated
March 26,1942 , and bearlng the identification mark NAS Drawing bO-l-1.
2. Thet a judgment be entered herein forthwith ordering and adjudicating
that said oroperty be aoorooriated to the Petitioner, United States of America,
in fee simple title absolute subject to the condition, however, that ~uld the said
lands herinbefore described ever cease to be used for nav~l our~oses tha~
then and in such event the same shall revert to the said Defendant, the City of Sanford
Florida, and thwt the amount to be oaid therefor is the sum of TEN AND NO/1OO
DOLLARS ($10.OO), which amount ts hereby stioulated and agreed to be fair and
just comoens~tion to said Defendant, the City of Sanford, Florida, for the
taking t~ereof.
3. That immediately uoon entry of Judgment as herein agreed to be entered,
an Order of Distribution be entered directing the Clerk of this Court to
