The City Commission of the City of Oanford, Florida, met in Special Session at
the City Hall in the City of Ssnford, Florida, at 12:00 Noon, November 4, 1942,
for the purpose of canvassing the returns of the Municipal Primary Election held November
3,1942
Present:

Commissioner W.C.Hill, Mayor.
H.James Gut
Edward Higgins
M.J.Lodge
H N Sayer
Absent: Commissioner Geo. D.Bishop.
Meeting called to order Oy the Chairman..
The Clerk next reported that Mr. E F Lane informed him on the morning of November 3,
that he would not be able to serve as Clerk of the Municipal Primary Election to be held
on same date, and that mr. Byrd J. Goods was appointed to serve in this capacity, and on
motion duly carried, same was approved.
The Commission then proceeded to canvass the returns of the Municipal Primary
Election held on November 3, 1942, as made by the Clerk ann Inspectors of said election as
follows:

For P.P.Campbell
For Howard Faville
For M.J.~odge
GROUP NO. 2.

Thereupon Commissioner Higgins moved that the returns of the Clerk and Inspectors
of the Municipal Primary Election held November 3, 1942, be accepted.
Seconded by Commissioner Gut and carried.
Thereupon M.J.Lodge was declared to be the regularly elected nominee in Group No.2
for the position o£ City Commissioner of the City of Oanford, Florida, to be voted upon
at the General Municipal Election to be held December 8, 1942.
On motion o~ Commissioner Gut, seconded by Commissioner Lodge and carried, payment
of $5.00 to each of the Inspectors and the Clerk of the Municipal Primary Election held
November 3, 1942, was next authorized,
