December 23, Present: Commissioner W.C.Hill, ~ayor. " Gao. D.Bishop " H.James Gut " Edward Higgina City Clerk H.N.Sayer Absent: Commissioner ~.J.Lodge. Meeting called to order oy the Chairman. In connection with ~he City's application to the Federal 5orks Agency for Federal Assistance for the construction of sn additional water supply for S~nford, which was authorized by Resolution No. 635 under date of October 5, 19~2, communi- cation next read from O.T.Ray, Regional Director for the Federal Works Agency, advising that allotment ol' funds in amount of $14,6OO.00 has been approved for construction by the Federal Government of this project. Communication also read from the Regional Director of Federal Works Agency ad- vising that funds in amount of $18,000.OO has been approved for construction by the Federal Government o~' ~ United Service Orgsinization Building in Fort mellon Park, in accordance wit~ City's application authorized by Resolution No. 638 under dele of October 12,19~2. Thereupon on motion duly carried, the ~eyor 8nd Clerk were next authorized to acquire the site for the water booster pumping station from ~rs. Rosa V.Sirmons, in accoraance with the terms of the ~urchase option authorized by the City Commission at the meeting of October 12,1~4q2. On mo%ion of Commissioner Bishop, seconded by Commissioner Gut and c8rried, the Commission next authorized wi~h recreational activities of Clu0 in Senford. appropriation in the an/ amount of ~100.00 towaxd expenses in connection the Naval Affairs Committee and the Service ~en's Consideration next given to the mst~er of compensating City employees, in a~aition to their regular salaries, for services rendered during the year 19~2. Thereupon after considerable discussion, Commissioner Higgins moved that the City pay all employees for an extra day's service, based on the rate of $5.00 per day for white employees and $3.00 per day for the colored employees.
