The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in regular session at
the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at ?:50 o'clock P.M. January 22, 1945.
Present: Commissioner W.C.Hill, Acting Mayor.

Meeting called to order by the Chairmam.
Minutes of adjourned meeting of November 29, special meeting of December 6, regular
meeting of December ll and adjourned meeting of December 13,1944, next read and approved.
Application next received from Mrs S.J.Nix for permit to remove four Australian pine
trees from the parkway in front of her home at 1812 Palmetto Avenue, and on recommendation
of Suot. Moughton, same was approved.
Report of January analysis of milk from ail dairies operating in Sanford, as prepared
by Dr. L.R. Strtbner's Laboratories at Orlando, next presented, such report abating all
such milk within the requirements of "Grade A Milk."

E.R. Trafford's Mac, thru foreclosure of tax liens and sold it to Mrs Imogene Caldwell
under date of December 15, 1942, subject to all unpaid State and County taxes as per
statement received from the County Clerk'~ office at that time, which did not include
the 192Y Tax Certificate outstanding against this prooerty that was ourchased by Walter L.
Coooer under date of December 16,1937, advising ths. t Mr. Cooper has oresented this
certificate for collection, which amounts to $~1.48, including interest to date.
Thereupon Commissioner Lodge moved that the Clerk be authorized to redeem the afore-
said State & County tax certificate held by Walter L.Coooer against the West 1/2 of Lot 3
Block 9 Tier ll.
Seconded by Commissioner Bishop and carried.
On motion of Commissioner Bishop, seconded by Commissioner Lodge and carried, the
Commission next authorized the employment of Mrs Marian Brumback as an assist~nt in
the Clerk's office at a salary of $110.OO per month.
On motion duly carried, the Commission next authorized the employment of B.H. Giles
as fireman at a salary of $120.00 per month to fill the vacancy created by resignation of
W.C.Galley,
On motion of Commissioner Lodge, seconded by Commissioner Bishop and carried, the
Commission next authorized the salary of mechanic Albin Kendall increased from $40.00
to $45.00 per week, effective as of January 19,19~5.
On motion of Commissioner Bishop, seconded by Commissioner Lodge and carried,
the Commission next authorized the sale to W.H.Raulerson of the East 1/2 of Block ? Tier
14, E.R.Trafford's Map, at a uice of $500.00. This property having been acquired by the City
thru foreclosure of tax liens and the proceeds from such sale to be divided between the
City and County ~n accordance with the provisions of Chapter 22079, Acts of $9~3
Legislature.
