CITY COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA. ;January 25 at 1:30 P M 19 '45
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in adjourned regular session
at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 1:30 o'clock P,M. January 25,1945.
Present: Commissioner Edward Higg~,ns, Mayor.

Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
Request next received from E.F.HouBholder for the City to install an overhead
street light in front of his home at 20~4 Hibiscus Court.
Thereupon after careful consideration, and in view of the fact that the distance
between the existing street lights in the 2000 block on Hibiscus Court is approximately
?50 feet because of it being an extra long block, Commissioner Gut moved that the Florida
Power and Light Company be authorized and directed to install a 100 CP overhead bracket
street light on Hibiscus Court midway between 2Otb. Street and South Grandview Avenue.
Seconded by Commissioner Lodge and carried.
Application next received from Mrs Claude Herndon for permit to transplant a
Coloratura tree in the parkway in front of her home at 605 Magnolia Avenue, and on
recommendation of Supt. Moughton , same was approved.
Commissioner Gut next introduced Ordinance No. 364, entitled:
ORDINANCE NO. 364
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE SOUTHERN BELL
TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH COMPANY TO USE THE PUBLIC STREETS OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ERECTING, CONSTRUCTING, MAINTAINING AND OPERATING LINES
OF TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH THEREON AND THEREUNDER.
AND SAME WAS READ IN FULL BY THE CLEBE.
Thereupon Commissioner Gut moved that the rules be waived and said Ordinance No. 364
be placed on its final passage and adoption.
Seconded by Commissioner Bishop.
Thereupon the question recurred upon the waivure of the rules. The roll was called
and the vote stands as follows:

Thereupon said Ordinance No. 364 was placed on its final passage and adoption.

Thereupon the Chairman announced that the City Commission of the City of
Sanford, Florida, by uanimous vote had passed and adopted said Ordinance No. 364,
entitled:
