The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in adjourned session
at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 2:00 o'clockP.M.June 28,1945.
Present" Commissioner Edward Higgins, Mayor.

Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
Aoolication next received from the Bush Insolation Comoany Inc, to ourchase
Block I Tier 9, E.R. Trafford's Map , for the ouroose of erecting and ooerating a cold
storage olant thereon. This orooerty being acquired by the City thru ourchase from
Victor Check.
Thereupon after careful consideration, Commissioner Lodge moved that the City sell
the Bush Insolation Comosny, Inc., the aforesaid block of land, less the north 8 ft.
to be reserved by the City for street ourooses,at a orice of $2,500.00.
Seconded by Commissioner Gut and carried.

B.equest next received from American Legion CSmobell-Loss~..ng/No.57 for the
City to contribute $750.00 toward the cost of moving and establishing the State
Hea~dquarters of the American Legion in Sanford, the County having contributed a
like amount.
Thereuoon after considerable discussion, as a result of which it was felt that the
community and returning war veterans would be greatly benefitted by the American Legion
mal~taining the Btate Headquarters in Ssnford, and on motion of Commlss~oner Gut,
Seconded by Commissioner Lodge and carried, the Commission authorized a contribution
in amount of $750.00 to the Camobell-I,ossing Post for this ouroose.
There being no further business the meeting then adjourned until 7:30 o'clock
