The City Commission of the City of Oanford, Florida, met in Special Besslon at the City
Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 12:00 o'clock Noon, February 22, 1950, for the
purpose of canvassing the election returns of the Special Referendum Election held February
21, 1950.

Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
Thereupon the Commission proceeded to canvass
Election held on February 21, 1950, as made by

the Clerk and Inspectors of said election
The City of Banford granting now to Florida Power & Light Company a 30 year
electric franchise in the City, by which the City will receive from the Company
at the end of each year an amount which, added to all taxes and impositions
levied by the City upon the Company and its operations in the City, will equal
6% of the Company's revenues that year from the sale of electricity within the
City. 648 votes.
AGAINST--The City of Oenford granting now to Florida Power & Light Company a 30
year electric franchise in the City, by which the City will receive from
the Company at the end of each year an amount ~hich, added to all taxes
and impositions levied by the City upon the Company and its operations in the
City, will equal 6~ of the Company's revenues that year from the sale of
electricity within the City. 546 Votes.

Thereupon Commissioner Krider moved t~at the returns of t~e Clerk and
the Special Referendum Election held February 21, 1950, be accepted.
Seconded by Commissioner Chase, and carried.
Thereupon , it was declared that the result of said election shows that a majority of
votere participating in the election voted for the City of Sanford granting now to
Florida Power & Light Company a 30 year electric franchise.

On motion duly adopted, the Commission next authorized payment at rate
to each of the Inspectors and Clerk of the aforesaid election.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
