Neeting called to order by the Chairman. On motion of Commissioner Stemper, eecond ed by Commissioner Chase and carried, minutes of regular meetings of February 13 and 2?, 1950 next approved. Consideration next given to offer of Nr. Lea R.Lesher on behalf of Mr. W.A. Leffler, to exchange Lots 14 to 18 Inclusive of Block 3, Eldorado for the City owned property des- cribed as Lots I to 24, inclusive of Block 15, Spurling's Plat of Chapman & Tucke~'s Addition. Thereupon after consideraOie discussion, Co~missioner Krider moved that the City decline the offer as submitted, but that further negotiations be made, and also that information Oe obtained as to the use %ne~ ~ intend to make of the property. Sec6nded by Commissioner Dyson and carried. Request next received from Mr. Fred Ball, owner of warehouse located on scutch side ~ Fifth Street between Laurel Avenue an8 French ~venue, clay surface. Thereupon after considering the dust created from that the City improve said street with clsy surface, Commissioner Chase moved that said street ce improved with oil and sand surfs, ce. Seconded by Commissioner Dyson and carried. Pursuant to the notice from Sanford Transit Lines of intent to discontinue the Goldsboro- Midway,Georgetown bus service on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, due to loss of revenue on those day e, the City Manager next submitted a two weeks dslly operation report on said runs, showing number of fares and gross income. Thereupo~ after careful consideration, Conwnissloner Chase moved that the City Manager confer with Mr. ~.A. Allen, owner of Sanford Transit Lines, and request him not to discon%inue all schedules on said days but to run at least three or four trips a day. Seconded by Commissioner Stemper and carried. Pursuant to several requests %o purchase City owned lo%s described as Lots l, 2 and 3 of Block ~, Mayfair, which were withdrawn from sale, pending establishment of right-of-way for proposed relocation of State Road No. 46, Commissioner Chase next moved that ~he aforesaid lots be placed back on the market at the established sale price of $500.00 each. Seconded by Commissioner Krider and c~rried. Mr C A Maddy, Vice President of Fellowship Foundation, next appeared before the Board and requested permission to plat the tract of land lying north of the B.O.Q. Building at the airport into lots and sub-lease them for the purpose of the ~ssees to construct dwellings thereon, subject to the terms and conditions of the 99 year lease agreement under Present: H40~O MINUTES City Commission, Sanford, Florida. l~arch 20 at ' P M 0 ,- ..................................................................... 5. ordinance similar to the City's photographer's regulatory ordinance to be onconstltutlonal, and recommended consideration of health card requirement for itinerant photographers, since they enter homes for solicitation. Matter referred to City Attorney. The proposed plat of Reddlng's Subdivision as prepared by Fred H.Wllliams, Engineer, was next submitted for approval. Thereupon after a careful study of the plat, Commissioner Chase moved that same be rejected because the area of some of the lots being too small to conform with the building requirements of the Zoning Ordinance. Seconded by Commissioner Krtder and carried. Ordinance No. 469 entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 362 OF THE CITY OF SANFOBD AS A~ENDED, SA~E BEING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFOND, BY PROVIDING FOR AN ELEVENTH CLASS OF DISTRICT INTO WHICH SAID CITY IS DIVIDED FOR THE PURPOSeS OF SAID ORDINANCE, DESIGNATING SAID ELEVENTH CLASS OF DISTRICT AS R-1-B AND SETTING OUT THE USES, LIMITATIONS AND HEQUIRENENTB PERTAINING TO SUCH CLASS OF DIS- TRICT; AND FURTHER AMENDING SAID ORDINANCE NO 362 AS A}..~ENDED BY TRANSFERRING CERTAIN TERRIOTORY IN DISTRICT R-1-A to DISTRICT R-l-B, AND TRANSFERRING CERTAIN TERRITORY IN DISTRICT R-1 to DISTRICT C-1. and same was placed on its first reading and read in full.
