The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in adJ~rned session at the City
Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 8:00 o'clock P. M. March 31, 1952.

Meeting called to order by the Chairman who announced that the purpose of the meeting
was to confer with the Stadium Committee and the Seminole County Baseball Asso~ation with
reference to the association's request for a lease on the new municipal stadium during 1952
baseball season, for period April I thru September 15.
Thereupon the Commission proceeded to a lengthy discussion with Messrs Vernol Carroll,
D. C. Cordell, Roy Holler and W. A. Morrison, members of the Stadium Committee, and Joel S.
Field, John Krider, Earl Higginbotham, Marion Harman, A. E. Yowell and W. B. Kilbee, representa-
tives of Seminole County Baseball Association, relative to facilitating the use of municipal
stadium during coming baseball season.
After careful consideration, the Stadium Committee the submitted the following
recommendations which were acceptable to the Baseball Association:
That Seminole County Baseball Association, Inc., be given exclusive use
of the Stadium and Baseball Diamond for regular scheduled games or practice during entire
season; and have exclusive control, management and operation of all concessions and exclusive
use of dressing rooms at all times during entire season; that the City reserve the right and
power to grant the use of the stadium to any group or organization for baseball games and other
activities on dates not conflic~ingwith scheduled practiceand games of Seminole County Baseball
Association, provided such groups or organizations furnish necessary public liability insurance
providing for same coverage as required by the baseball association, deposit with City an
indemnity bond in amount of $1,000.00 for any loss or damage to the park, and in case of any
night event, deposit for each night of use the sum of $50.00 to cover the cost of field lighting.
Thereupon after further discussion Commissioner Kadet moved the acceptance of recommenda-
tions of the Stadium Committee.
Seconded by Commissioner Chase and carried.
Consideration next given to repairing field lights for nlgh games
and repairing or demolishing the old grandstand, and after conAderable discussion action was
letted, pending further consideration.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
