The City Commission of the
City Hall in the City of Banford,
purpose of
1952.
City of Banford, Florida, met in Special Session at the
Florida, at 12:00 o'clock Noon, November 5, 1952, for the
canvassing the election returns of the Municipal General Election held November
Present:
Commissioner W. H. Btemper, Mayor

" Randsll Chase
" John D. Ivey
" John L. Kadet
City Attorney A. Edwin Bhinholser
City Clerk H. N. Bayer
City Manager Thcs L. Lemon
Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
Thereupon the Commission proceeded to canvass the returns of the Municipal General
Election held November 4, 1952, for the ourpose of electing one City Commissioner for a term
of three years, commencing on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in January, 1953, as
made by the Clerks and Insoectors of said election; said returns being as follows:
FOR CITY COMMISSIONER
For Paul J. Chesterson 528 Votes
For J.~. Cordell 993 Votes
For Joe Routh 1 Votes
Mutilated ballots thrown out 20
TOTAL BALLOTB CAST 1,542
Commissioner Ivey then moved that the returns of the Clerks and Inspectors of the
General Election held November 4, 19~2, be accepted.
Seconded by Commissioner Chase and carried.
Thereupon J. D. Cordell was certified, as t he duly elected City Commissioner of the
City of Banford, Florida, for three year term, commencing with first Tuesday after the first
Monday in January, 1953.
On motion of Commissioner Carraway, seconded by Commissioner Ivey and carried, the
Commission next authorized payment at the rate of $1.00 per hour to each of the Clerks and
Inspectors of the aforesaid election.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
