Knowle s Absent: Commisslo:ner Bco~, Mayor Meeting called to order by the Chairman. The Commission then proceeded to canvas the returns of the Municipal General Election held on. November 6, 1956, for the purpose of electing t~o City Commissioners for terms of three years each, commencing on the first Tuesday afb;er the' first Monday in January 1957, and one for a term expiring December 31, 1957, commencing immediately upon acceptance of office; said returns as made by the Clerks and Inspectors bei~g~asff, bllows: FOR CITY COMMISSIONER - GROUP NO. 1 For Merle W. Seconded by Commissioner Wilson and carried· Thereupon Merle Wo Warner and Earl Higginbotham were certified a s the duly elected City Co.missioners of the City of Sanford, Florida, for three year terms, commencing with the first Tuesday after the ~st Monday in January 1957, and A. L.
