The City Commission of the 01ty of- Sanford, Florida, met in adjourned session at the
City Hall in the 01ty of Sanford:, Florida, at 10:00 o'clock A. M. September

Meeting called to order by the 0hairman.
Mr. John Burton, Architect, and Mr. 0arrollc~ the Carroll-Daniel 0onstruction Company,
presented a revised bid on the Capital Improvements Program cf $312.996.00.
Mr. John Burton, Architect, stated that the entire architect fees for the completion
of the three projects covered by the above bid would amount to $6,200.00.
01ty Manager Xnowles pointed out t hat it would cost an estimated $3,200.00 additional
to use colored concrete.
Moved by 0ommlssioner Higgtnbotham, seconSed by' 0ommissIoner Wilson, .and carried, to
accept the bid of Carroll-Daniel Comatx-uction Company, for the construction of the Civic
Center, Fire Btation, and Swimming Pool at a price ~ $316,196.00, to include using col~ ed
concrete, and to pay John Burton, Architect, the sum of $6,200.00 balance of architect fees on
these three projects.
Mayor Gatchel reported that he had met with Mr. John Brumley~ 0h~ rman of the Seminole
County School Board, and that he was favorably impressed with the proposed extension of ed-
ucational facilities both in and closely about the 01ry.
After further consideration and on motion by Commissioner Higginbotham, secede, ed by
aommissioner Wilson, and carried by a unanimous vote, to offer Mr. Brailey Odham an option
of 60 days for this 55 acres located west of route 17-92 owned by the City for a price of
$500.00 p~ adre for the development of this area in cooperation with the Seminole County
School Board for a High School-Junior 0ollege Building Site, and to offer the 01ty's full
cooperation .toward the completion of this project.
