The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida met in Special Session at the City
Hall In the City of Sanford, Florida at 2:00 o'clock P. M. on Aoril 4, 1958.

The meeting was called to order by the Chairman.
The first order of business was a discussion of a policy for rental and use of the Civic
Center. After lengthy consideration of replies to questionaires sent to twelve communities of
comoarable size and with comoarable facilities, the City Maria,'er was authorized to incorporate
into a schedule the fees and. orovisions for use as outlined by the Commission, and to :?esent
thia schedule for approval at the ne×t regular meeting.
After discussion, moved by Commissioner Gatchel, seconded by Commissioner Brown and
carried, authorizing the City Attorney to prepare an ordinance to prohibit the placing of
handbills and other advertisements in or on parked automobiles and private oremises.
After consideration, moved by Commissioner Higginbotham, seconded by Commissioner
Gatchel and carried, authorizing the City Attorney to prepare an ordinance to coincide with
the state law controlling the placement and size of advertising signs at service stations.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
