The City Commission of the City of Sanford, FI?ri~a, met in Special Session at the
City H~ll, in the City of Sanford, Florida at 7:30 o'clock P. M. on February 6, 1959:
Present: Commissioner A. L. Wilson, Mayor

The meeting was called to order by the Chairman.
County Commissioner present were: John S. Krider, Chairman
Vernon Dunn
D. M. Gatchel
Lawrence Swofford
Homer Little
M. N. Cleveland, Jr., Aounty Attorney
The Chairman presented a resume of the Recreational Program of the City and the co-
operative agreement with the County on former recreational projects.
Mr. Krider next spoke in appreciation of the opportunity for his Board to met with
the Oity Commission.
There fo:tlowed a general discussion of' possible County participation in the expense
of the City' s r~creatlonprogram, due to the attendance of other than Ci ty residents. The
County Commissioners agreed generally that some participation was favorable and voiced sup-
port for a county wide program, however, no funds were available at this time.
Residents of the fringe areas of Sanford were present and when questioning the
County Commissioners, vere told, that there was no immediate support for the addi tlonal costs
of including fringe area participation in the City's prcgram.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
