Tamm, Jr. City Attorney Wm. C. Hutchisc:n, Jr. Absent: The meeting was called to order by the Chairman.' After considerati on and on 'motion of Commissioner Bro'wTl, secord ad by Commis sioner Warner and carried, the Commission authorized the cancellation of that portion of unpaid taxes in the amount of $45.60 assessed to improvements on the North 57 feet of E 50 feet of Lot 3, Block 12, Tier F. Appraisal authorized by the Commis,sion on February 23, next submi ttedb by A. B. Peterson, Sr., and Robert A. Williams, Realtors, in the amount of $1,300.00 covering the property des- cribed as follows: A Plot of Land with 288 feet frontage on Poplar Avenue and 150 feet deep, adjoining and immediately North af Lands owned by Sanford Manufacturing Co., in Block 2, Tier 12, Trafford's Map of Sanford. Johni, Krtger, next appeared, and reported that the Sanford Manufacturing Can pany now employs 100 workers and anticipates moving their entire operation frcm New York to Sanford, and to accommodate such a move it will be ne ces sary to expand their present building and therefore will need additional land. After consideration, moved by Commissioner Brown, to grant an option until December 31, 1959, to the Sanford Manufacturing Company to purchase the aforesaid property for the sum of $500.00, subject to a commitment to construct additional manufacturing facilities thereon. Seconded by Commissioner Warner, and carried over the dissenting vote of Commissioner Baker. ___. / Commissioner Warner next offered the following resolution concerning a sewer line ease- ment with the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company, seconded by Commissioner Brown and carried R-E-S-O-L-U-T-I-O-N Be it resolved by the City Commissioner of the City of Sanford, Florida, in regular meeting assembled that the Mayor-Commissioner be and he hereby is authorized to enter into an agreement wi th t he Atlantic Coas t Line Railroad Company, to sign same on behalf of said City whereby the said Railroad Company grants unto Bernard Edwards, of Sanford, Florida, the 482 MINUTES City Commission, Sanford, Florida, February 26 at 8 P M 1922- / .J "..~ right and privilege to construct and maintain, for the purpose of a sewer main, at Sartbrd, Florida, a line of 6-inch cast iron pipe across the right of way and under the Commercial Street loop Track of the Railroad Company, at a point 30 feet southeastwardly measured along the center line of said track;l from the southeastern line of Third Street; and particularly described in said agreement, which agreement. is' dated January 14, 1959, a copy of which agreement is filed with this City Commissioners; and whereas, by said agreement the said City agrees to maintain said pipe line.
