The Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Session at the City
Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 8:00 o'clock P. M. on 'March 13, 1959.

The Meeting was called to order by the Chairman.

The first order of business was a discussion with Art Harris, representative from
Odham & Tudor, Inc., pertainirg to a propos ed development of a tract of 41.80 acres of land
between Locust and Mellonville Avenues and between Celery Avenue and the Atlantic Coast Line
Railroad Track north of Rosalia Drive.
Art Harris reported that his COJllpany would construct approximately 128 homes in the
price class range of $12,000.00 to $16,000.00.
~fter discussion and on motion of Commissioner Higginbotham, seconded by Commissioner
Brown and carried, the Commission authorized an agreement to supply the labor and equipment
to install all water supply pipes of two inches and lar~er, upon acceptance of a replat of
the property and completed plans for development.
After consideration, moved by Commissioner Higginbotham to reject all petitions for
annexation submitted under the presently proposed plan and to accept petitions for annexation
of smaller sections of the present plan. Seconded by Commissioner Brown and carried.

On motion of Commissioner Brown, seconded by Commissioner Higginbotham and carried,
the Commission expressed appreciation for ~he work performed in obtaining signatures for
the petitions for annexation.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
