The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in adjourned special session at
the City Hall i~the City of Sanford" Florida, at 10:00 o'clock on April 8, 1959.

The meeting was called to order by the Chairman.
Ed. Buchanan, Representative from the State Road Department, next outlined a program
whereby his department would make a traffic survey of the City of Sanford, at a cost of
$1,500.00, which survey would provide data so that the arterial street system of the City would
properJ:Y tie-in with the geometric design of the state roads. He further stated that the survey ~'
would be available to the City Planner.
Henry Bogg, Traffic & Planning Division"of the State Road Department, next appeared to
explain the survey as authorized to be conducted in the County.
After discussion, the Commission postponed any action until a meeting could be scheduled

with Phil Pitts, representative from the office of George Simons, City Planner.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
