M. July 14, 1960. Present: Commissioner Earl Higginbotham " Joe B. Baker Robert S. Brown J.H. Crapps A.L. Wilson City Attorney Wm. C. Hutchison, Jr. City Manager W. E. Knowles City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr., Deputy Clerk Rosa Rotundo Absent: Police Chief R. G. Williams The meeting was called to order by the Chairman The first order of business being a Public Hearing to consider vacating, closing and abandoning a portion of an alley in accordance with the following~notice published in the Sanford Herald on June 28, 1960/ NOTICE OF PROCEEDING FOR VACATING, CLOSING AND ABANDONING A PORT5ON OF AN ALLEY TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: You will take notice that the City Commission of the City of~Sanford, Florida, at 8:00 Po M., on the 14th day of July 1960. in the City Commissioner's Room at the City Hall in the City of~..Sanford-, Florida, will consider and~determiue whethe~or, not the City will vacate, and abandon any right of the City and the public in and to a portion of that certain alley hereinafter described, to-wit: That portion of a certain east-west ~lley · lying between the west line of Lot 10, BlOck~' 2, Tier 5, extended, and the East line of LOts 5 and 6, Block 2, Tier 4, extended. Persons interested may appear and be heard at the time and place above specified. CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA s/ H. N. Tamm, Jr. City Clerk The Chairman then announced that the Commission would be glad to hear from anyone in favor of, or against closing, vacating and abandoning a portion of an alley in accordance with the foregoing notice. There being no objections registered, Commissioner Wilson moved that said alley be closed, vaCated, and abandoned as advertised. Seconded by Commissioner Baker and carried. Commissioner Wilson introduced OrdinanCe No. 722, entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, CLOSING VACATING AND ABANDONING THAT PORTION OF A CERTAIN EAST- WEST~:ALLEY LYING BETWEEN THE '~EST LINE OF LOT 10, BLOCK 2, TIER 5, EXTENDED, AND THE EAST LINE OF LOTS 5 AND 6 BLOCK 2, TIER 4, EXTENDED, ALL IN E R TRAFFORD'S MAP OF SANFORD Commiss~.oner Brovm then moved the waiver of the requirements of the second reading of Ordinance No. 722, and that sa~e be placed on its final passage and adoption.
