The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in regular session at the
City Hall in the City of Sanford,~Florida~t 8 o'clock P. M. on August 22, 1960.

The meeting was called to order by. the Chairman.
Request next submitted by John W. Cope and Dwight M. Blackwelder for transfer of permit
to sell alcoholic beverages, from Evelyn M. J. King, d/b/a Town Pump, 112 W. First Street, and
on motion of Commissioner Wilson, seconded by Commissioner Brown and carried, same was ap-
proved upon recommendation of the Chief of Police.
On motion of Commissioner Brown, seconded by Commissioner Baker and carried, the
west side of Laurel Avenue between Third and Fourth Streets was designated as "No Parking"
area.
After discussion Commissioner Baker moved to designate Mellouville Avenue as an area
for "No Parking" from Seminole Boulevard to Randolph Street with the exception of the west
side of Mellonville Avenue from Tenth Street to Celery Avenue. Seconded by Commissioner Brown
and carried.
Recommendation next submitted by Municipal Judge E. A. Olliff, Jr., to suspend
sentence of John Gliven, Docket Case No. 63602, and on motion of Commissioner Crapps, seconded
by Commissioner Wilson and carried,, same was approved.
~ommissioner Brown next introduced Ordinance No. 730, entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA ANNEXING
TO AND INCLUDING WITHIN THE CORPORATE ARE~ 0F THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, THE AREA KNOWN AS A PORTION OF PARK
VIEW SbBDIVISION, ACCORDING TO THE PI~LIC RECORDS OF
SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND MORE PARTICULARL~ZDES-
CRIBED HEREINAFTER; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE FOR SAID
ANNEXATION AND FOR THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES FOR CITIZEN-
SHIP IN THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA. ~
and same was placed on its first reading and read in full.
Commissioner Baker then moved the waiver of the requirements of the second reading of
Ordinance No. 730, and that same be placed on its final passage and adoption.
Thereupon the question recurred on the waiver of the second reading, the roll was
called and the vote stands as foltows:

Said Ordinance No. 730 was then placed on its final passage and adoption, the roll was

Thereupon the Chairman announced that the City Commission of the City of Sanford,
Florida, by unanimous vote had passed and adopted Ordinance No. 730, entitled:

OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, THE AREA KNOWN AS A PORTION OF
PARK VIEW SUBDIVISION, ACCORDING TO THE PUBLIC RECORDS

OF SEMINOLE'COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND MORE PARTICULARLY
DESCRIBED HEREINAFTER; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
FOR SADD ANNEXATION AND FOR THE RIGHTS AND PRIVI-
LEGES FOR CITIZENSHIP IN THE CITY OF SANFORD,FLORID~.
After consideration, the Commission authorized five street lights to be installed on
Twenty-fourth Street at the intersections of Holly Avenue, Cedar Avenue, Lake Avenue, Chase
Avenue, and Marshall Avenue.
After consideration and on motion of Commissioner Baker, seconded by Commissioner
Brown and carried, the City Attorney was authorized to prepare an ordinance amending the Or-
dinance controlling the issuance of permits for and the construction of driveways and side-
walks.
On motion of Commissioner Brown, seconded by Commissioner Baker and carried, the
meeting was adjourned until 8:00 o'clock P. M. August 29, 1960.
