090160-Regular Session MINUTES'. : Adjourned Reg,uls. r Meeting~R~0September~e 1 City Commission, Sanford, Florida, The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in adjourned regular session at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida.~ 8:00 o'clock P. M. SeDtember l, 1960. Present: Commissioner Earl Higginbotham, Mayor " Joe B Baker "~ Robert S Brown " J.H. Crapps "' A.L. Wilson City Attorney Wm. C. Hutchison, Jr., City Manager W. E. Knowles City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr. Deputy Clerk Ros.a Rotundo Chief of Police R. G..Williams The meeting was called to order by the ~hairman. The first order of business being the further consideration of the proposed budget for 1960-1961. Commissioner Brown moved that in order to provide perpetual care for the Municipal Cemetery, the cost of a grave Space would be increased to $150.00 and provided that all vahlgs;:.: would be concrete. Seconded by Commissioner Baker and carried. After discussion, Commissioner Brown moved to increase the meat inspection fee to $1,00, said fee to be retained by the City Meat InsPector and no salary appropriation to be provided in the budget. Seconded by Commissioner Baker and carried. On motion of Commissioner Baker, seconded by Commissioner Crapps and carried, one garbage packer was eliminated from the proposed budget of the Refuse Department. On motion of Commissioner Brown, seconded by Commissioner Baker and carried, the Com- mission ~uthorized the transfer of $2,000.00 from Engineering-City Planning Account No. 5084 to Public Projects Fund for final payment under contract with George Simons. On motion of Commissioner Wilson, seconded by Commissioner Baker and carried, the Commission called a special meeting to sit as a Board of Equalization on September 19, 1960, a.t 8:00 O'clock P. M. Consideration next given to agreement with Lee Brothers Plumbing Co., regarding sale of Lots I thru 5, Block 1, Tier 9, and B&ock l-N, Tier 10, Traffords, for sum of $13,333.00, said sale based on an agreement for construction to begin with in one year. Due to con- struction not having begun, Commissioner Brown moved to refund the $13,333.00 within 13 months and to refund 1960 Taxes on said property. Seconded bY Commissioner Baker and carried. The Commission then adjourned the meeting until 2:00 P. M. September 2, 1960. ~ / ~AYOR
