101460-Special Session MINUTES City Commission, Sanford, Florida, Special Meeting October 1419.60 The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special session at the City Hall in thee City of Sanford, Florida at 1:00 o'clock P. M. on October 14, 1960. Present: Commissioner Earl Higginbotham, Mayor " Joe B. Baker " Robert S. °rown " J.H. Crapps A.L. Wilson City Attorney Wm. C. Hutchison, Jr., City Manager W. E. Knowles City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr., Deputy Clerk Rosa Rotundo Police Chief R. G. Williams The meeting was called to order by the Chairman. W. A. Adams appeared regarding the purchase of City property on Holly and commercial Avenu for a proposed bonded warehouse. Said property being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point 329.4 feet North and 25 feet West of the intersection of the center lines of First Street and Holly Avenues, thence run North 250 feet, West 250 feet, South 250 feet, and East 250 feet to point of beginning. After considerable discussion, moved by Commissioner Crapps, that whereas the City has no further need or use for the aforesaid property for municipal purposes and it is deemed desirable and necessary for the continued growth of the City to have a bonded warehouse, that therefore the City sell the East ~ne-half for a cash payment of $2,000.00, and a purchase agree- ment to be executed for the West one-half for a price of $4,000.00 to be paid within four years. The entire sale to be contingent upon the construction of a bonded warehouse within one year from date of purchase and to be in continuous operation for three years, or the property to revert to the City. Seconded by Commissioner Brown and carried over the dissenting vote of Commissioner Baker. There being no further business the meeting adjourned. ATTEST: gm ~S
