The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in special session'at the City
Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida at 1:30 o'clock P. M. on October 18, 1960.

The meeting was called to order'by the Chairman.
Mr. A. B. Peterson, Realtor appea~ed to discuss land for the proposed wellfield property
and after consideration Mr. Peterson was authorized to obtain prices of suitable land in the
area of Geneva, Osteen and west of the golf course.
After discussion, Commissioner Wilson moved to recall for further consideration
Resolution No. 929, adopted on September 29, 1960, approving the proposed merger of the
Atlantic Coast Line Railroad and Seaboard Air Line Railroad, and to withhold, action until
all facts for and against the proposed merger could be presented and studied by the Com-
mission. Seconded by Commissioner, Brown and carried over the dissenting vote of Commissioner
Baker.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
