City Commission, Sanford, Florida, April 6 at 9 /l'. M.
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Session at the
City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 9:00 o'clock A.-M. April 6, 1961.

The meeting was called to order by the Chairman.
Resignation next submitted from the Assistant Director of Recration, Gene Schlickman.
After considerable discussion, Commissioner Crapps moved to authorize the City Manager
to advertise to fill the vacancy of the position of Director of Recreation and Parks at a start-
ing salary of $5,304.00. ~Seconded by Commissioner Wilson and carried.
Consideration next given to the replacement and additionaof street lights on Sanford
Avenue, and on motion of Commissioner McDonald, seconded by Commissioner Wilson and carried,
the Commission authorized the following:
Replacement of 1000 lumen mercury vapor street lights at
Celer7 Avenue and at 25th Street with 7000 lumen type.
Replacement of 2500 lumen mercNry vapor street light at
26th Street with a 7000 lumen type.
Installation of 4 additional 7000 lumen mercury vapor
street lights between 25th & 26th Streets.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
