The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida met in adjourned regular session at
the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 8:00 o'clock P. M. on August 17, 1961.

The meeting was called to order by the Chairman.
Jack Trim appeared to further discuss a lease for the proposed Marina at the City Pier,
and stated he desired to be in business before December or by the end of the year.
Considerable amendments were made to the lease as presented and the Commission requested
that Mr. Trim's attorney confer with the City Attorney towards working out the details and re-
submit to the Commission.
The Commission then proceeded to further study the 1961-62 proposed budget.
On motion of Commissioner Higginbotham, seconded by Commissioner Crapps and carried,
the Commission authorized a 2% cost of living salary increase to all employees.
On motion of~ Commissioner Higginbotham, seconded by Commissioner Wilson and carried,
2 additional firemen were authorized to be employed, with the schedule of duty to be worked
out by the Fire Chief.
After discussion, the Commission authorized an additional Clerk-typist to be employed
in the Finance OffiDe.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
