The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida met in Special Session at the City
Hall in th~ City of Sanford, F~or~da, at 8:00 o'clock P, M. on August 21, ~961

The meeting was called to order by the Chairman.
First order of business being the further study of the proposed 1961-62 budEet.
On motion of Comm'issioner Higginbotham, seconded by Commissioner McDonald and carried,
the Commission authorized a reduction of $500.00 in Maintenance-S~reet Lights and a reduction
of $150.00 in~ Maintenance-Marina and increase in the Contingency Account of $650.00.
W. A'~. Adams reported that his Insurance Underwriter had tested the flow of water from
the fire hydrant on the main from which he proposed to connect for the fire sprinkler system
for his warehous~e on Holly Avenue and Commercial Avenue, and they had found that the quantity
was not sufficient. The City Sanager was authorized to~'submit plans so as to provide suitable
service for this request.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
