CITY COMMISSION, SAZ~ORD, FLORIDA, December 27 at 8 P M 1962 The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in adjourned regular session at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 8 o'clock P. M. December 27, 1962~ Present: Commissioner J. H. Crapps, Mayor " Joe B. Baker " Earl Higginbotham " Thomas S. McDonald " A.L. Wilson City Manager W. E. Knowles City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr. Deputy Clerk Rosa M. Rotundo Police Chief R. G. Williams Absent: City Attorney William C. Hutchison, Jr. The meeting was called to order by the Chairman. Mrs. Carmeta Ray, of the Seminole Welfare Department, stated that she was appearing under the direction of their State Office in Tallahassee in regard to the old Post Office Building. Mrs. Ray further stated that her office was interested in good. housing and that she would report the action of the Commission on acquiring the building to the Tallahassee office. The City Manager next reported that County Commissioner John Fitzpatrick had informed him that his Board had voted to support~the City's efforts to return the aforesaid property to ownership subject to taxation. Consideration next given;to the various uses available to other governmental agencies and the Commission authorized the further processing of the City's Application for said Post Office site. Estimate No. 5 next submitted in the amount of ~75,390.61 covering work completed and material on job site to December 1, 1962 on contract with Mid West Contracting Company, Inc., dated May 9, 1962 for the Sewage Treatment Plant, and on motion of Commissioner Baker, seconded by CommiSsioner McDonald and carried, payment was authorized from the Construction Trust Fund of 1962, on the approval of the City Manager, and stipulating that
