The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in special called session at the
City Hall in the City of Sanford~ Florida, at 8:00 o'clock P. M. on February 17, 196~.

Absent: Police Chief R. G. Williams
Commissioner Higginbothammoved to waive the requirement of a 24 hour written
notice and to call the meeting into special session. Seconded by Commissioner Baker and
carried by the unanimous vote of the Commission.
Consideration next given to the request of Sanford Shopping Center, Inc., for
extension of water and sewer to their property line.
Commissioner Higginbotham moved that in consideration for annexation and upon
conveyance to the City by deed of the proposed lift station site, the City of Sanford
will proceed as rapidly as possible with the construction of sewer and water utilities to
the property line on 0nora Street. Seconded by Commissioner Baker and carried unanimously.
After discussion, the City Fianager was authorized to write the Legislative
Committee on Water Resources and Conservation ~mrging them to make recommendations to the
State L~gislature supporting adoption of necessary regulations to properly safeguard public
water supplies.
There being no futher business, the meeting adjourned.
