The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in a special called
session at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at ll:50 o'clock A. M. on
October 5, 1964.

Police Chief R. G. Williams
Commissioner Crapps moved to waive the requirement of 24 hours written notice,
and to call the meeting to order. Seconded by Commissioner Raborn and carried by the
unanimous vote of the Commission.
Commissioner Crapps introduced a Resolution, and after being read in full,
moved on its passage and adoption. Seconded by Commissioner Baker and carried by the
unanimous vote of the Commission.
Said Resolution being in words and figures as follows:
RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BT City Commission of Sanford, Florida,
THAT Warren E. Knowles, City Manager
be and he is hereby authorized to execute for and in behalf of the City of Sanford,
Florida, a public entity established under the laws of the State of Florida, this appli-
cation and to file it in the aPpropriate State office for the purpose of obtaining certain
Federal financial assistance under the Federal Disaster Act (Public Law 875, 81st Congress;
42 u.s.¢. 1855-1855g).
Passed and approved this 5th day of October, 1964.

As the City Commission of the
City of Sanford, Florida
The City Manager next submitted a contract from Maurice Connell and Associates,
Engineers, pertaining to making an engineering study of a proposed Lake Front Development
program, and stated that it had been amended to delete the paragraph pertaining to arbi-
tration and included a stipulation for the City to receive reproducable tracings; and on
motion of Commissioner Baker, seconded by Commissioner Higginbotham and carried, the Mayor
and City Clerk were authorized to execute same.
On motion of Commissioner Baker, seconded by Commissioner Raborn and carried,
the meeting was adjourned.
