Fla. ,, ' { , ' :, ' ' ' ' ~ ' ' ' The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Meeting at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 12:00 o'clock Noon, December 7, 1966, for the purpose of canvassing the Election Returns of the Municipal General Election, held on December 6, 1966. Present: Commissioner A. L. Wilson, Mayor " J.B. Baker " Earl Higginbotham " M.L. Raborn, Jr. " W. Vincent Roberts City Attorney Wm. C. Hutchison, Jr. City Manager W. E. Knowles City Clerk H. L. Whelchel Absent: Police Chief A. S. Williams Commissioner Higginbotham moved to waive the requirements of 25 hours written notice, and to call the meeting to order. Seconded by Commissioner Roberts and carried by the unanimou~s vote of the Commission. The Commission then proceeded to canvass, the returns of the Municipal General Election, held December 6, 1966, for the purpose of electing two City Commissioners for the term of three years, commencing on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in January, 1967, said returns as made by the Clerks and Inspectors as follows: VOTING TABULATION FOR CITY COHMISSION - GROUP I Earl Higginbotham James H. Total 6'I q 1 6 651 8 8 19 i 20 ;1 1 i 1 i 1 i i Commissioner Baker then moved that the returns of the Clerks and Inspectors of the Municipal General Election, held December 6, 1966, be accepted and the absentee ballots be approved as recorded. Seconded by Commissioner Raborn and carried. Thereupon, Earl Higginbotham, Group I, and A. L. Wilson, Group II, were certified as the duly elected City Commissioner of the City of Sanford, Florida, for the three year term, commencing with the first Tuesday after the first Monday in January, 1967. Fta · , After discussion, Commissioner Higginbotham moved that the ten (lO) Election Clerks and Inspec.tors working in the Municipal General Election on December 6, 1966, be paid at the hourly rate of $1.25 per hour for a total of fifteen (15) hours. Seconded by Commissioner Roberts and carried. On motion of Commissioner Rab°rn, seconded by Commissioner Roberts and carried unanimously, the City Commission extended their sincere appreciation to those persons working as clerks and inspectors in the Municipal Election. There being no further business, Commissioner Baker moved that the meeting be adjourned. Seconded by Commissioner Raborn and carried. ATTEST: mm MAYO R
