The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Session at the
City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at ll:O0 A. M. on March 15, 1967.
Present: Commissioner J. B. Baker,Mayor

Police Chief Ben E. Butler
Commissioner Higginbotham m~ved to waive the requirement of 24 hours written notice
and to call the meeting into special session. Seconded by Commissioner Raborn and carried
by the unanimous vote of the Commission.
Consideration was next given to the awarding of a "re-bid" as specified in the
invitation to bid and as published in the Sanford Herald on February l~, 1967, and publicly
opened at the City Hall at 2:00 P. M. on March 8, 1967, regarding Miscellaneous Marina
Facilities of the Lakefront Development Project as follows:

B. C. Conklin, City Project Engineer, Clark, Dietz and Associates, discussed with
the Commission the bids, alternates, and qualifications of the various contractors.
After discussion, Commissioner Higginbotham moved that Alternate No. 2 not be
accepted, in the bid. Seconded by Commissioner Raborn and carried.
On motion of Commissioner Wilson, seconded by Commissioner Roberts and carried,
approval was given to accept Alternate No. 1.
Commissioner Raborn moved to accept the low bid of Clifton Construction Company,
Cocoa, Florida. Motion died for lack of a second.
The meeting was then recessed to 2:00 o'clock P. M. this date.
The meeting reconvened at 2:00 o'clock P. M. with Commissioner Roberts absent.
The Chairman called the meeting or order.
Commissioner Raborn moved that final action of the awarding of the miscellaneous
bid be held on Monday, March 20, 1967, at ll:O0 A. M. Seconded by Commissioner Wilson and
