The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, acting as a Board of Equali-
zation, met in a special adjourned session at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida,
at 8:00 o!clock P. M. on September 13, 1967.

The special adjourned Board of Equalization Meeting of September ll, 1967, to give
consideration to real estate revaluations, was called to order by the Chairman.
The Commission then proceeded to review each and every complaint filed with the
Tax Assessor, and those who attended the adjourned meeting of September ll, 1967. The list

Commissioner Raborn moved that the Board of Equalization adjourned session be
adjourned until September 18, 1967, as time was getting late, and it would be impossible to
complete tonight, seconded by Commissioner Higginbotham and carried.
Commissioner Raborn then moved to waiver the requirement of 24 hours written notice
and to call the meeting to official order. Seconded by Commissioner Higginbotham and carried
by the unanimous vo~e of the Commission.
Consideration was next given as to the proper time for the City to notify the
Department of Defense to release officially the necessary notices to General Services Admin-
istration on Sanford Naval Air Station property. Commissioner Higginbotham moved that the
City Manager be authorized to notify the Department of Defense at the earliest possible time,
seconded by Commissioner Roberts and carried.
After consideration and on motion of Commissioner Higginbotham, seconded by Commis-
sioner Rab0rn and carried, authorization was given to pay $37,637.47 to Bercleve Unifloats,
Inc., as submitted on Statement dated September l, 1967, for materials and work completed to
September l, 1967, for Floating Piers and Associated Work for the ~akefront Marina Project,
as approved by the City project engineering firm Clark, Dietz and Associates and the City
Manager, and as authorized under the Agreement for same dated January 3, 1967.
After consideration and on motion of Commissioner Higginbotham, seconded by Commis-
sioner Raborn and carried, authorization was given to pay $21,497.63 to Shoemaker Constructio~
Company, Inc., as submitted on Requisition No. 5, dated September 5, 1967, for materials and
work completed to September 5, 1967, on the Lakefront Marina Project, as approved by the
City project engineering firm Clark, Dietz and Associates and the City Manager, and as auth-
orized under Agreement for Miscellaneous Marina Facilities, dated March 27, 1967.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
