010567-Bercleve Unifloats Inc. After consideration, and on motion of Commissioner Raborn, seconded by Commissioner
Baker~and carried, authority was given for the Mayor and Clark to execute the Contract of
Bercleve Unifloats, Toc., Jacksonville, Florida, in the amount of $163,528.18, as awarded
by bid for the furnishing of concrete floats and other marina work, as outlined in the plans
and specificationS for the Lakefront Project-Marina, Phase II.
After discussion, ComMissioner Roberts moved that the local bill with regards to
the creation of "Urban Renewal" authority giving the City Commission the appropriate authorityi
under urban renewal laws be passed onto the Legislation Delegation, with recommendations
that they introduce it in legislation in Tallahassee at the next session. Motion died for
lack of a second.
On motion of Commissioner Higginbotham, seconded by Commissioner Baker and carried,
approval was granted to give the City employees, with the exception of Refuse and emergency
departments, Monday, January 2, 1967, as a holiday for New Year's, with the City Hall and
other subsidiary City operations being closed that date.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
