City Commission, Sanford, Florida December___~_7_ at 12:00 Noon .1969
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in special session at the
City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 12:00 o'clock Noon on December 17, 1969, for
the purpose of canvassing the Election Returns of the Municipal General Run-off Election,~
held on December 16, 1969.

The Chairman called the meeting into session to canvass the returns of the Municipa3
General Run-off Election held December 16, 1969, for the purpose of electing a Mayor-
Commissioner for a term of office of three years, commencing on the first Tuesday after the
first Monday in January, 1970.
Returns made by the Clerk and Inspectors of the election were examined and the
absentee ballots Opened and examined by the City Clerk and the City Commission and recorded,
as follows:

Commissioner Roberts then moved that the returns of the Clerk and Inspectors of
the Municipal General Run-off Election, held on December 16, 1989, be accepted and the
absentee balIots be approved as recorded. Seconded by Commissioner Higginbotham and carried.
Thereupon, Lee P. Moore, Group I, was certified as the duly elected Mayor-
Commissioner of the City of Sanford, Florida, for a term of three years, commencing on the
first Tuesday after the first Monday in January, 1970.
On motion of Commissioner Roberts, seconded by Commissioner Crapps and carried,
the Clerk and Inspectors working for 1969 Run-off Municipal General Election were authorized
to be paid at the rate of $1.60 per hour. Seconded by Commissioner Wilson and carried.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
