Mr. Mills called the training session to order at 10 AM.

Presentations
Nick Mcra , Economic Development Director, gave a brief update on the City's visioning and Strategic
Planning activities.
Darrel Presley, Community Improvement Director, gage a brief update on Code Enforcement issues.
Russ Gibson, Planning and Development Services Director, and Mary Moskowitz, Planner, gave a brief
overview of the City's Comprehensive Plan.
Commissioners Deports
Mr. Mills requested an overview of the Land Development Regulations as the next training topic and that
it be held as a separate training session instead of 30 minutes prior to a scheduled meeting.

Staff Report
Mr. Gibson reported there will he two items for consideration at the September 6, 2012 meeting and if the
board concurred, he could conduct an overview of the Land Development Regulations at the conclusion
of the meeting. The board concurred with holding the training session after the meeting.
Mr. Gibson informed the board of a Sun Rail meeting and luncheon on September 14, 2012 and stated he
would make arrangements to pay the fee for board members interested in attending if funds are available.
