The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Session in the
City Manager'.s ConferenCe Room at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 4:00
o'clock P. M. on February 24, 1981.

Absent: City Attorney William L. Colbert
The Mayor announced that the purpose of the meeting was to consider further the
proposed pay plan. for .the City.
The City Manager submitted estimated figures for salary increases, FICA, and pension
for the period of January 1 to September 30, 1981, as follows:

Commissioner ~Rrr moved to set the pay range for department heads from $20,500.00 to
$31,000.00. Seconded by Cor~aissioner Smith and carried.
Commissioner Fart moved to authorize Pay'increases in the amount of!S1,100.00 to each
department head effective January 1, 1981. Seconded by Commissioner Smith and carried.
Commissioner Farr moved to approve the salary list as submitted by the City Manager,
effective January 1, 1981. Seconded by Commissioner Yaneey and carried.
Commissioner Fart moved to authorize the City Manager to appropriate from unappropriat
cash forwarded in each of the aforesaid funds, the sums necessary to provide for the
increased payrolls and payroll expenses for the period of January 1, 1981 to September 30,
Seconded by Commissioner Keith and ~arried.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
