City Commission, Sanford, Florida
January 21 at 4:00 P. M.
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Workshop Session in
the City Manager's Conference Room, in the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at
4:00 o'clock P. M. on January 21, 1985.

Commissioner Milton E. Smith
Commissioner David T. Farr
Commissioner Bob Thomas
City Manager W. E. Knowles
City Clerk Ho N. Tamm, Jr.
Absent: City Attorney William L. Colbert
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman.
The first item of business was consideration of the street resurfacing program
submitted by the City Manager to the City Commission on January 14, 1985. The Commission
discussed the upgrading of 13th Street to a higher priority, also decreasing the scheduled
amount of paving for First Street.
Commissioner Thomas submitted the names of several unpaved streets and requested
that they be worked into a paving schedule.
Pat Sentell and Jean Fowler appeared to represent the Garden Club to support a
proposed Arbor Ordinance.
Sid Levy appeared to support his request for annexation, reduction in the license
fee for the Flea World Market, Highway 17-92, and waive the requirement for paving the
parking areas. Mr. Levy proposed to develop a 50,000 to 60,000 square foot arena, also an
area to be used for sale of vehicles, expanded display space, additional parking, and
changes to the entrances and exits.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
