The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Meetin§ in
the City Manager's Conference Room, in the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at
13:00 o'clock P. M. on February 20, 1985.
Present: Mayor-Commissioner Bettye D. Smith
Commissioner John Y. Mercer
Commissioner Milton E. Smith
Commissioner David T. Farr
Commissioner Bob Thomas
City Manager W. E. Knowles
City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr.
Absent: City Attorney William L. Colbert
The Mayor announced that the purpose of the meeting was to consider the 101
applications for the position of City Manager, and the recommendations of the City Manager
Selection Review Committee as to the top 10 candidates.
After review of the applications, the Commission added Mr. William McGilt and Mr.
3teve Harriett to the top group, and accepted the withdrawal of the application of Mr.
Robert C. Brigman.
The Mayor called a Special Meeting to be held at 3:00 o'clock P. M. on February
21, 1985, to consider ranking the top five candidates and to designate the applicants to be
invited for interviews.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
