The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Meeting in
the City Manager's Conference Room, in the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at
3:00 o'clock P. M. on February 21, 1985.
Present: Mayor-Commissioner Bettye D. Smith
Commissioner John Y. Mercer
Commissioner Milton E. Smith
Commissioner David T. Farr
Commissioner Bob Thomas
City Manager W. E. Knowles
City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr.
Absent: City Attorney William L. Colbert
The Mayor announced that the purpose of the meeting was to further consider the
top 11 applicants for the position of City Manager.
After review, the initial five applicants to be interviewed were designated as
follows:
William R. Cook, Kingsport, Tennessee
Frank Fazon, Richmond, Virginia
Alan Tandy, Gillette, Wyoming
James Turner, Grenada, Mississippi
William J. McGill, North Miami Beach, Florida
The Mayor called Special Meetings to be held in the City Manager's Conference Room
at 4:00 o'clock P. M. on March 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, 1985, to interview the aforesaid
applicants.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
