The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Regular Session in the

Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 7:00 o'clock P. M. on March 11, 1985.
Present:
Mayor-Commissioner Bettye D. Smith
Commissioner John Y. Mercer
Commissioner Milton E. Smith
COmmissioner David T. Farr
Commissioner Bob Thomas
City Attorney William L. Colbert
City Manager W. E. Knowles
City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr.
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman.
Citi ens Screening Committee,
The first item of business was a presentation to the members of the Sanford
as follows:
Sara Jacobson
Edwin O. Keith
Shirley Schilke
Eliza Pringle
S. Joe Davis
The Commission adopted Resolution No. 1396, and the Mayor presented said
reso~ation and a plaque to Sara Jacobson.

RESOLUTION NO. 1996
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, THANKING
AND COMMENDING SARA JACOBSON, CHAIRMAN, FOR SERVICES
RENDERED TO THE CITY AS CHAIRMAN OF THE SANFORD CITIZENS
SCREENING COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, the Sanford City Commission appointed a five
member Sanford Citizens Screening Committee for the purpose of
reviewing and screening 101 applications for the position of City
Manager of the City of Sanford, Florida; and
WHEREAS, .SARA JACOBSON, served as Chairman of said
committee devoting many hours to the reviewing and screening of
said applications and has rendered a valuable service to the
citizens of Sanford and to the Sanford City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sanford
wishes to thank and commend SARA JACOBSON for services rendered;
NOW, THEREFORE,
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY
the City of Sanford thanks and commends
SARA 3ACOBSON for services rendered to the City as Chairman of
the Sanford Citizens Screening Committee.
SECTION 2: That this Resolution be recorded in the
official minutes of the City of Sanford, Florida, and that a copy
be presented to SARA 3ACOBSON.
