MINUTES
City Commission, Sanford, Florida
December 2, 19 85
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Workshop Session in
the City Manager's Conference Room in the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 4:40
o'clock P. M. on December 2, 1985.

Commissioner Milton E. Smith
Commissioner David T. Fart
Commissioner Bob Thomas
City Manager Frank A. Faison
City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr.
Absent: City Attorney William L. Colbert
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman.
Members of the Youth Advisory Committee appeared with Robert Lundquist as
spokesman, who presented a survey and recommendations.
The Commission authorized said report to be considered on the next agenda.
Consideration, next, given to closing a portion of four dead-end streets in Sanora
Subdivision. Commissioner Mercer stated that the Homeowners Association had requested the
street be blocked off at the dead end, to be installed by this association. The
Commission authorized same to be considered on the next agenda.
Mr. Elliott Smith, Executive Director of the Sanford Housing Authority, appeared
and stated that the audits for 1981, 1983 and 1985 had been mailed to the Commissioners on
the prior Wednesday. The Commission announced that the audits had not been received, and
authorized same to be considered at a future Workshop Session.
Members of the Planning and Zoning Board appeared with John Morris, Chairman, as
spokesman. Mr. Morris reviewed the interim map and stated it was for reference only, that a
separate map was being sent to the state to update the comprehensive plan. The Commission
authorized same to be considered at the next regular meeting.
Mr. Morris further reported on the activities of the board and future plans for
revisions to the zoning ordinance.
The City Manager reported a request from Conklin, Porter and Holmes, Consulting
Engineers, to appoint a soil engineer for additional review of their data. The Commission
authorized same to be considered at the next regular meeting.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
