Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
Further consideration next given to the bids submitted at regular meeting of August
for furnishing labor and materials in the construction of sanitary sewers to service the area
between Rosalia Drive and 20th Street and Locust Avenue and Mellonvllle Avenue, for which
the lowest bid was Langston Construction Company in amount of $27,733.10.
Fred H. Williams, Engineer, then submitted the plans for further study of the design of
the proposed sanitary sewerage system in that area and the proposal for future extension into
the area south of 20th Street. He then advised that because of the contour of the land, it
would be more economical to service the area between 24th Street and Geneva Avenue, and Oviedo
Railroad and east of Mellonvllle Avenue by installing a lift station and pump the sewage to the
disposal plant at the airport.
The Commission then authorized Engineer Williams to proceed with the plans for installing
sanitary sewers and a lift station for servicing the aforesaid area.
After further study of the plans for installing sewers in the area between Rosalia Drive
and 20th Street and Locust Avenue and Mellonville Avenue, for which the bids were submitted,
it was felt that the need for sewers in t~is area is not critical at the present time because
of the fact that it has already been almost completely developed with new dwellings with
septic tanks, and on motion of Commissioner Chase, seconded by Commissioner Krlder and carried,
the Commission rejected all bids received.

the County to rescind the dedication for recreation purposes of five parcels of property
needed by the Authority as part of the site for the housing project. Also, for the City to
purchase said property from the County at the sale price of $1,O05.O0, and re-sell it to the

questing the County to rescind the dedication of the aforesaid property, and that the City
