110850-Special Session1 60 MINUTES City Commission, Sanford, Florida, November .8 .at 5.P.M. 19 50 City Commission of the City of Sanford, The Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 12:00 o'clock Noon, November 8, 1950, for of canvsssing the Florida, met in Special election returns of the Municipal General Election held November Present: Commissioner Andrew Carrsway, Mayor " Randall Chase " F.A. Dyson " John Krider " W. H. Stemper City Attorney A. Edwin Shinholser City Manager Clifford McKibbin, Jr., City Clerk H. N. Bayer Meeting called to order by the Chairman. Thereupon the Commission proceeded to canvass the returns of Session at the City the purpose 7, I950. the Municipal General Election held November 7, 1950, for the purpose of electing two City Commissioners for terms of three years each, commencing on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in January, 1951, as made by the Clerk and Inspectors of said election; FOR CITY COMMISSIONER - GROUP NO. 1 For John S. Krider, Sr. For Sam A. Martina, Jr. FOR CITY COMMISSIONER - GROUP NO. 2 For Randall Chase For John D. Ivey Mutilated ballots thrown ou%~ TOTAL BALLOTS CAST said returns being as follows: 857 Votes 947 Votes 877 Votes 883 Votes 1,873 Commissioner Krider then moved that the returns of the Clerk and Inspectors of the General Election held November 7, 1950, be accepted. Seconded by CommissioEr Dyson and carried. Commissioner Chase refrained from voting be- cause of the possibility of human error having been made in counting the ballots but stated that he would accept the returns of the election officials. On motion of Commissioner Stemper, seconded by Commissioner Dyson and carried, the Com- mission next authorized payment at rate of $1.00 per hour to each of the Inspectors and Clerk of the aforesaid election.
