11038-Special Session MINUTES City Commission, Sanford, Florida November The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Sessic the City Manager's Conference Room at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, o'clock P. M. on November 3, 1986. Present: Mayor-Commissioner Bettye D. Smith Commissioner John Y. Mercer Commissioner Milton E. Smith Commissioner David T. Farr Commissioner Bob Thomas City Attorney William L. Colbert City Manager Frank A. Faison City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr. The meeting was called to order by the Chairman. The Chairman announced this Special Meeting had been called to consider a for purchase of a water well site, and to consider an offer for purchase of a site f application of treated wastewater effluent. The first item of business was the consideration of a contract for purchas water well site located North of Route 46A, South of Hughey Street (Oregon Avenue), Oregon Avenue and East of I-4, comprising approximately 12 acres, and lyinglWest of of Sanford. Bill Simmons, Director of Engineering and Planning, reported the water we] was appraised at $456,000, and Staff has negotiated a contract with the owners for ~ purchase at a price of $400,000. On recommendation of the City Manager, Commissioner Mercer moved to authoz Mayor to execute said contract for purchase. Seconded by Commissioner Smith and caz the vote of the Commission as follows: Commissioner Mercer Commissioner Smith Commissioner Farr Commissioner Thomas Mayor Smith Yea Yea Naye Yea Yea The Commission next considered an offer for purchase of a site for land application of treated wastewater effluent located East of Lake Jessup and South of Road 46 in Seminole County, comprising approximately 2,200 acres, and lying East of of Sanford.
