The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Workshop Session in

The meeting was called to order by the Chairman.
Commissioner Mercer reported resident complaints regarding overnight parking ale
venue, most residents have parking in the alley, rear and driveways of their
nces, and suggested eliminating parking between 2:00 A.M. and 6:00 A.M.
Police Chief Harriett reported eliminating parking along Park Avenue between 2:(
nd 6:00 A.M. would make extra work for his staff, but would establish a more efficiE
cleaning procedure. The Commission directed Staff to develop a study on the parkir

The Commission next discussed a proposed parking plan for the marina as prepare~

The Commission directed Staff to make a study regarding charging a fee for

The Commission discussed a request from Ed Welch of the Holiday Inn for City

re: Election of December 2 and Runoff December 16
At the last election, the Commission authorized the publication of a
City map designating the District Boundaries. The display ad was
published in both papers the Sunday prior to the election, along with
the sample ballot.
Also, the Commission directed a Police Officer to be at each polling
place to assist the voters to find their correct district.

The Chairman reported a lot of unrest in the community regarding the Sceni
improvement Board, and requested the Commission put forth a unified effort to work w
)oard to help them work out their problems, and challenged the SIB to work out their
)roblems and come back to the Commission with what they are going to do.
