RE: PlanninG & Zoning Meeting of 1/8/87
RECOMMENDATIONS
1. Unanimously recommended the approval of the request to rezone
from MR-2 to PUD for Placid Lake Patio Homes, property located on
proposed Placid Lake Blvd., north of Airport Blvd., west of
Reservior Lake and east of Old Lake Mary Rd. subject to the
resolution of:
1. The required open space

and
2. A treated effluent irrigation takeback.
John Moseler, representative for ZOM-Sanford, proposed to offer
moneys in lieu of park dedication because the 1.6 acre
requirement of open space is below the guidelines for usable park
acreage. They would like to give money to purchase necessary
property to add to Hovanian Park. The Board wishes to see the
open area within the development.
Although effluent irrigation and its required committed takeback
requirement of 270 GPD is not well suited to a zero lot-line
single family development, ZOM-Sanford would agree to installing
a treated effluent line that would facilitate its use in the
multi-family and commercial areas of the plat.

Mr. Faison:
The attached Florida Department of State letter of January 7,
1987 advised of the approval to award a $5,000 historic district

It is requested that City Commission authorization be obtained
for City Manager to sign all appropriate documents relative to the
acceptance and administration of this grant. Following execution,
please return all documents to me for further processing.
The Historic Preservation Board will seek to have the survey work
done by University of Florida, if possible, or by contract with a
historic preservation consultant.
