The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Workshop Session in
the City Commission Conference Room of the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at
4:00 o'clock P. M. on June 3, 1987.
Present: Mayor-Commissioner Bettye D. Smith
Commissioner Whitey Eckstein
Commissioner John Y. Mercer
Commissioner Bob Thomas
Commissioner A. A. McClanahan
City Manager Frank A. Faison
Deputy City Clerk Janet R. Donahoe
Absent: City Attorney William L. Colbert
City Clerk H. N. Tamm, Jr.
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman.
The Commission considered the 1987-88 Budget as submitted by the City Manager.
Bill Simmons, Director, appeared to present the Engineering and Planning Budget.
Steve Harriett, Police Chief, appeared to present the Police Department Budget.
Tom Hickson, Fire Chief, appeared to present the Fire Department Budget.
Bob Kelly, Director, appeared to present the Public Works Budget.
Jim Jernigan, Director, appeared to present the Recreation and Parks Budget.
The Mayor announced that the next Budget Workshop Meeting would be held at 4:00
o'clock P. M. on June 4, 1987.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
