The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Regular Session in
the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 7:00 o'clock P. M. on October 10, 1988.

The meeting was called to order by the Chairman.
The first item of business was a continuation of a public hearing tabled from the
meeting of September 26, 1988 to consider rezoning a portion of that certain property lying
East of and abutting Hidden Lake Drive and lying between Lake Mary Boulevard and .Sanford
Grant Line from SR-1 (Single Family Residential Dwelling) District to MR-2 (Multiple Family
Residential Dwelling) District.
The Chairman announced that the Commission would hear from those persons present
to speak in favor of, or in opposition to, the proposed rezoning.
Virginia Broulliard spoke in opposition to said rezoning and requested to deny
rezoning.
Bruce Tuttle, spoke in favor of said rezoning and stated that subject property
was in the midst of commercially zoned property.
Commissioner Mercer moved to authorize the City Attorney to prepare the proper
ordinance to rezone said property. Seconded by Commissioner Thomas and carried by the

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA
ACCEPTING THE U.S. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
AGENCY GRANT OF $2,127,625 AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY ALL
DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH.
WHEREAS, The City of Sanford, Florida received an offer
from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for assistance
of 55% of all approved costs incurred up to and not
exceeding $2,127,625 for installation of a vacuum sewer
collection system to eliminate existing combined sewers
within the City, and
WHEREAS, The City of Sanford, Florida desires to accept
the offer of assistance and to authorize its City Manager to
execute on behalf of the City all documents in connection
therewith,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE
CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City of Sanford, Florida accepts the
offer from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for
assistance of 55% of all approved costs incurred up to and
not exceeding $2,127,625 for installation of a vacuum
sewer collection system to eliminate existing combined
sewers within the City.
Section 2. That Frank A. Faison, City Manager of the
City of Sanford, Florida is authorized to execute on behalf
of the City all documents in connection with said grant.
